Praying with Hope for the Margins: interceding for a wounded world
Following a calling to the distinctive diaconate can sometimes be a lonely endeavour – this Conference offers a rare opportunity for Distinctive Deacons, Ordinands and Enquirers from across the country to meet together for teaching, fellowship and the sheer encouragement of being with others involved in this rich ministry.

Keynote Speaker: Revd Canon Rosalind Brown, author of ‘Being a Deacon Today’ will talk about the Deacon’s ministry of Intercessory Prayer, “Praying with Hope from the Margins: Deacons interceding for a Wounded World”
Special Guest: Bishop Pete Wilcox, Champion for Distinctive Deacons in the House of Bishops and CENDD Patron, will look at the role of deacons and service in Mark’s gospel.

Why not travel down the previous day and stay overnight at the venue?
A number of rooms at the Royal Foundation of St Katherine are available from the previous night of Friday 24th April at a cost of £100, including Friday supper and Saturday breakfast. By staying you will be able to join others at the conference for meals and Compline. Wake refreshed for the conference on Saturday morning!
