  1. Ha ha! It’s the custom of having three purple and one rose candle on the Advent ring in church. Each candle is specifically symbolic, and this Sunday, the third in Advent, the pink stands for joy (contrasting with the 3 purple, which stand for penance). At least, I think that’s how it goes … I am not high church enough to be terribly well-up on these things 😉

  2. Oh, If I’d known I would have taken in my rose wash to get done in the Chapter or Chancery, or wherever it is the clergy secrete their red vestments wash load. 😉
