This day conference on November 2nd 2024, held online, will include opportunities to:

  • meet Bishop Pete Wilcox, CENDD’s new Patron and Champion for Distinctive Deacons in the House of Bishops.
  • hear from Distinctive Deacons Rebecca Swyer and Rachel Bennett who both hold senior ‘oversight’ or ‘incumbent level’ roles about their work, with input from Joy Gilliver, Head of Discernment in the Church of England.
  • listen and contribute to a discussion about curacy, with a particular focus on the crucial relationship between the Deacon Curate and Training Incumbent.
  • meet and share stories with other DDs from around the country
  • reflect and worship together
