IGNATIUS OF ANTIOCH, MARTYR

Tradition tells us that Ignatius was thrown to wild beasts in 107 AD, a martyrdom commemorated today.  He has a special place in the heart of deacons. 'Reverence the deacons as you would the command of God.' (Ignatius) May his courage and faith be ours! (image from Busted Halo)
