Maundy Thursday #HolyWeek. Jesus both gives us the Eucharist and, as he washes feet, demonstrates Eucharistic living. All who feed on the Living Bread are sent to wash the feet of the poor, the broken, the forgotten. The Eucharist is not just event but subversive lifestyle. (The Bishop of Burnley)

I think the idea is that the Eucharist isn’t just for receiving, it is also for ‘doing’, living it out in practice in serving others.
